Success with Veggie Gardening – Saturday April 27th

Saturday April 27th from 10:00am-4:00pm $52 for individuals or $80 for two people of the same household Instructor: Jen

This intensive, hands on workshop will take participants through the process of establishing a productive food garden including site selection, layout, soil and bed preparation, crop planning, planting, crop rotation, irrigation, required tools/equipment and maintenance. From backyards, front yards, to small balconies, we will send you home with a plan and the knowledge for success. It also includes an introduction to weeds and pests. Please bring a bagged lunch,  gardening gloves and lots of questions! Tea, coffee and water provided.

Ornamental Container Gardening – Sunday May 27th

Sunday May 27th from 1pm-3:30pm $75 Instructor: Bettina Harvey

We are absolutely thrilled to have guest gardener/designer/artist Bettina Harvey visiting us from Stanley Park, to inspire and educate on how to create awesome, personalized containers for your deck/porch/balcony. In this fun, interactive workshop Bettina will guide you through colour theory, easy to follow design theories, and how to choose the right plants for your particular situation. Both annual and perennial plants will be discussed. Leave this exciting class with a planter of your own creation to take home. the package will include a wide selection of plants and containers, but should you wish to upgrade upon seeing a particular pot on site, the difference can simply be paid at that time. Bring gloves and a trowel or you can also purchase them here.
